On Wednesday a group of Year 10 and 11 Hands on Hospitality students went to Ritual Coffee to see first hand the coffee roasting process. We also had the chance to participate in a “cupping process” where freshly ground beans are placed in a cup, water at 96 degrees C is poured over and we smell the aroma. After which we tasted the brews and with both senses tried to identify their flavour profiles. Jesse then talked about the coffee company and their operations and what it takes to be a superior roaster and wholesaler.
