On Sunday the 29^th of August, eight brave, intrepid students from across the school battled inclement weather, weekend brain fog, a freezing gym and tiny worktables to compete in the 2021 MAT Northern Maths Relay Heats. Up against the clock and other seasoned relay teams, our 7/8 and 9/10 teams performed admirably with the juniors finishing just one question away from third place! The questions were sometimes strange and always tough. Our students displayed perseverance, intelligence and lateral thinking, and they came away with smiles on their faces and a fancy certificate as a memento.
