Grade 7

Piper is an amazing student!  This week during a health lesson Piper volunteered to assist me with explaining a health topic to her class without any preparation time.  Piper demonstrated extensive knowledge of the topic and spoke with absolute clarity.  It is not an easy task to have the confidence to speak in front of peers. Piper demonstrated courage, self-confidence, and an ability to convey the information in a way that students could understand and relate to.  I was so impressed by her ‘teaching’ that I called a colleague teacher to come and watch!  Piper, I was really impressed by your self-confidence and the way you engaged the audience. You have a real gift!  I am really thankful that you assisted me in my lesson and most importantly your peer group was in ‘awe’ of you.  As a teacher, these ‘golden moments’ remind us of why we do our job!  It made me really proud to be a teacher at Prospect High School!  I will be watching Piper’s leadership in the future.
