Monday, 21st June and Thursday, 24th June are Open Days at Launceston College and Newstead College respectively for Year 10 students. We will be working with the Northern Urban Collective of Senior Secondary schools to promote and discuss our very exciting and specialised offering for 2022 - "Hands-On Hospitality" at these open days. Jennifer Pollard and Adrienne McMahon will be presenting an information session at Launceston College (21st) and running a drop-in "trade-show" table at Newstead (24th) to outline, explain, answer questions, and provide students with options when making their choices for courses and study locations for 2022. As part of our preparations, we've had Heath Dehaan come and take some action video footage of our cafe, kitchen, and 11/12 classroom and space. We're also creating a delicious and unique shortbread biscuit to tempt students with the creative possibilities of our new "Hands-On Hospitality" course. This course is a robust and one-of-a-kind offering combining TASC and VET subjects: Food and Hospitality Business Enterprise with a Certificate 1 in Hospitality.
