Swimming Carnival Information

PHS Swimming Carnival

Due to COVID, there is a restriction on the number of students able to attend this year's swimming carnival. As a result, the swimming carnival is COMPLUSORY for all 7/8s and only the 9/10s who have signed up. A normal school day will occur at PHS for those students in 9/10 who are not attending the carnival. Due to the restrictions, this year, we will NOT be allowing spectators. A letter will be sent home with those children who are participating today.

What to bring:

bathers, towel, plastic bag, sunscreen, food and water. No zinc or face paint

Canteen:

Students will NOT have access to the centre’s café. Students may purchase lunch only from the Prospect High School canteen via the Qkr app and must be selected from the Swimming Carnival Special Event option menu.  Orders MUST be completed via the Qkr app from Tuesday 16th March or at the school office by 1:30pm Wednesday 17th March.  Purchased items will be delivered to the Centre for students to collect from the canteen area.

Canteen items for sale include:

  • Fruit Bun $1.50
  • Giant Choc-chip cookie $2
  • Blueberry Muffin $2.50
  • Choc-chip Muffin $2.50
  • Ham and Cheese Sandwich $2.50
  • Cheese Sandwich $2.50
  • Ham Salad Roll $4.50
  • Chicken, Salad and Mayo roll $4.50
  • Bottled Water $1.

Transport:

Students will need to come to school as normal and report to their grade area for attendance/assembly before moving to the buses

Program:

The carnival will conclude at 2.30pm. Any student who wishes to leave from the Launceston Aquatic Centre MUST have a signed note from their parents/guardian, and this needs to be shown to the grade leader attached to your group.
