On Wednesday 2^nd December, Prospect High School played against Queechy High School in the Northern High School Sport Association Grand Final. First quarter was very windy, so we expected an unpredictable game. We were kicking against the wind for the first and third quarter. In the first quarter, Queechy kicked two goals 2 to 1 behind. In the second quarter, we were catching up due to kicking with the wind. Queechy kicked one goal and one behind taking them to 21 points, we kicked two goals four behinds taking us to 17. In the third quarter, Queechy kicked one goal. three to Prospect's one to extend their lead to 12 points at the final change. We had one quarter to catch up and the spectators and players were all on edge. When the fourth quarter came, Marley B started us off with the first goal of the quarter, closing the gap in scores. Jorja P kicked the second goal which put us in the lead, and it looked like we could have a promising win. Sophie M and Sophie S kicked the last two goals getting us the big win. Queechy didn’t score because our backline cooperated and strategically won the quarter. Tunisha K won best on the ground with a deserving medal, Georgie B won MVP (most valuable player), Ashley D won most improved, and Cayley Q won the coaches' award. In the end, this season has been an amazing opportunity for all the girls. They did an amazing job and worked well together; they should all be proud of one another.
